Our Designing Facility
Our designing unit is dedicated to offering an exquisite range of women’s dresses to our clients, and within the stipulated time frame. We have segmented our unit into various sections, and each section is responsible for a particular operation.
Our design team brainstorms on a regular basis, to come up with new and trendy designs, which are created after extensive market research and regular feedback from our clients. They ensure that the designs are stylish, contemporary and wearable.
Once the designs have been created a team sets out on the mission of procuring the right fabrics, the apt dyes and elaborate blocks. It is only after the procurement of the raw material that the actual manufacturing process begins.
We have a number of machines for cutting, stitching, sewing, dyeing and finishing. These advanced machines, help us complete bulk orders in time. Some of the machines used in our unit include:

We have one unit that is devoted to block printing, where the natural dyes are applied on the intricately designed blocks to give the desired effects on the fabric. New blocks are created on a regular basis, so that our range of dresses is free from monotony.
A special unit has been setup that takes care of the needs associated with tie and dye. This ancient technique has been perfected in our organization, and we take extreme care in using only natural colours. This ensures that the colours remain fast and bright, even after repeated washing.
Spread over 15000 square feet, our infrastructure is truly modern and state-of-the-art, which is why we are able to meet domestic and global orders with such ease. At present, we are able to produce 1500 - 2000 pieces per day and up to 40000 - 60000 pieces per month. |
History of the arts
We specialize in offering a range of dresses that are contemporary in design, but are embossed with age old arts – block printing and tie and dye. Since we deal in such ancient arts, it was essential for us to have a deep understanding of the history and evolution of both these traditions.
Records show that first samples of block printing emerged in the 12th century in several centers of south India. The art then spread northwards, and developed the most in states like Gujarat and Rajasthan. Metal or wooden block, which have intricate designs carved on them, are dipped or coated with natural colours, and them pressed onto the fabric to produce stunning effects.
Tie and dye on the other hand, is a technique that involves skillful knotting of the fabric and careful dipping into myriad dyes and colours to create a magical effect on cloth. The first reference to tie and dye can be found in the Old Testament of the Bible, where there is a mention of Jacob’s coat of many colors. The complex art became fully developed in China during the T'ang dynasty (618-906 A.D.) and in Japan during the Nara period (552-794 A.D.). The Indian version of tie and dye is also known as Bandhini or Bandhej, and was initially practiced on silk, some 5000 years ago and is till date the most popular craft in states like Rajasthan.

We have a warehousing unit that is par excellence, and provides excellent storage facilities for our entire range of women’s dresses. In order to make storage and retrieval easy, we have segregated the warehouse into a number of sections. With these segregation, it is supremely convenient to categorize the consignments.
